What is Pipe Column

Pipe columns are used as support structures for pipes, ducts, sprinkler systems, etc. They are usually made out of metal or concrete and are designed to be placed around the perimeter of a building. The purpose of pipe columns is to keep the piping system safe by preventing it from being damaged by wind, rain, snow, ice, etc. Having the right pipes in your property can make the efficiency and structure of your home better.

Pipe Column Material

The material that makes up the pipe columns depends on what kind of pipes are going through them. For example, if you want to install PVC pipes then you should use PVC pipe columns. If you want to install copper pipes, then you need to use copper pipe columns. There are different types of materials that make up pipe columns, such as aluminum, steel, concrete, fiberglass, plastic, and wood. Each material has its own benefits and disadvantages.

Benefits of Pipe Columns

pipe column design

There are several advantages to using pipe columns. Some of these include:

• Preventing damage to pipes caused by weather conditions

• Improving the appearance of buildings

• Providing a safer environment for people living in the house

• Protecting the integrity of the plumbing system

• Reducing energy costs

About our Pipe Column

Pipe Columns are used to protect pipes from external forces such as wind, rain, snow, and ice. These columns are usually installed around the perimeter of a house or building. They are usually made of metal or concrete, and they are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions.

Structure Steel Fabrication & Installation

Structural steel is an important material used in construction. Steel is strong, lightweight, and can withstand high temperatures. It is also resistant to corrosion and can be easily welded together. These qualities make it ideal for constructing buildings and bridges.

The erection of structural steelwork consists of the assembly on site of steel components into a framework. The processes involve lifting, placing, and connecting components into position, then bolting or welding them together.

Iconic New Orleans Architecture

CREOLE COTTAGE

The Creole Cottages are the oldest surviving local housing type in the city. They are typically designed and built by owners and builders to fit local needs. They are heavily influenced by both French & Spanish construction methods and the local weather.

Typical Creole cottages are one story tall, two rooms wide, and two rooms deep, often with tiny storage rooms attached at the back to each side. Creole cottages have hip or side gable roofs, frequently with tall narrow gabled dormers.

Three hundred years ago. The City is home to over 20 National Register historic districts, 15 local historic districts, and scores of local landmarks. Almost half of the buildings people call home were built before WWII, the earliest dating from the 17th century.

As a result, New Orleans has a diversity of architectural styles and types, unmatched in the country. As importantly, New Orleans has architectural styles and types closely tied to the image and character of the city and appearing in numbers and combinations unseen elsewhere.

TOWNHOUSE

The Townhouse building style, or something similar, is one of the most common types in urban areas because its tall, narrow shape makes efficient use of space.

The townhouse in New York City was first introduced during the French Colonial Period, but the basic design stayed popular for much of a century and has just recently seen a revival in popularity three centuries later.

CENTER HALL COTTAGE

The Center Hall Cottages is a vernacular house type that is common throughout the American South and the Caribbean. Its origins no doubt predate its use in New Orleans, where it began occurring in its typical raised form around the 1830s and 40s.

The Center Hall has a rectangular plan, typically at least two rooms wide and two deep with a central hall running from the front facade to the rear, and two small storage rooms (cabinet) to either side on the rear, flanking a back service porch. Center Hall Cottages have side gable roofs, often with dormers windows.

The front façade of a typical Center Hall is spanned by a deep front porch covered by a flat roof supported by symmetry-placed columns and accessed by a central stair. It has a symmetrical arrangement of windows, usually two to either side of the front entry door.

Center Hall Cottagers are most frequently sheathed in wood weatherboard, although the precise type will vary according to style. A variant of the Center Hall Cottage is the Raised Center Hall, typically raised on fires to five feet or more above grade.
